Easy salmon recipes

Salmon is about the healthiest protein you can eat. Unfortunatley, not everyone loves salmon – but that’s ok, because it’s a pretty versatile fish that you can spuce up with easy salmon recipes.

Here are some of my favorite easy salmon recipes:

You’ll need a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of pepper, and some fresh dill. Preheat a frying pan with two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil (which, like salmon, is high in omega three fatty acids – fats that are actually good for you). Mix the salt and pepper in a bowl, then dredge the salmon in it. Once the pan is sizzling hot, put the salmon in and sprinkle the fresh dill on top. Cook the salmon for anywhere from two to four minutes per side, depending on how well done you want it. For me personally, I prefer my north atlantic salmon (the most common type) medium-well, while I prefer the rarer and more expensive various alaskan salmon to be nearly rare.

There are other easy salmon recipes, especially if you’re familiar with oriental spices. Salmon is one of the prized fish of Japanese and Korean cuisines, and with a little bit of legwork and patience you can find easy salmon recipes from those two countries as well.

There are other ways to go, too. The grill is always a good option for fish, especially if you like something with a smokier flavor. You can also buy specialized black pepper called “smokehouse” to approximate that smoky grilled flavor in your frypay on the stove if you don’t have access to a grill.
