<p>Do you have a healthy brain or do you keep living in the past and being angry and resentful about all the things that happened to you in the past or that are happening now? While positive psychology may sound a bit intimidating to some people you can use it as part of a personal development plan to have a better life and be a whole lot happier than you are now.</p>
<p>All of the things that have happened to you in the past are stored in your mind. Mostly in your subconscious so you aren&#8217;t even aware of them. Yet these experiences affect every part of your life. You may not trust people because of things that happened when you were a child. You may believe things your parents or other adults told you about yourself that aren&#8217;t true and never were. You may feel guilt about things you&#8217;ve done in the past that may or may not have been your fault.</p>
<p>All of the things above limit your success and happiness. For instance, do you believe money is a good thing or a bad thing. Do you believe that people who have money are good people or bad people? You hidden attitudes about money may be keeping you broke and in need. You definitely need a personal development plan to get your brain healthy again.</p>
<p>Do you dwell on past mistakes or spend a lot of time wishing you&#8217;d done things differently in your life. Do you use positive psychology to stay here and now and in a positive attitude or are you a negative person?</p>
<p>The big question is are you happy with your life or do you want a better life? You can fairly easily have a much better life and get rid of all the wrong things you believe and all the things that are holding you back.</p>
<h1><font color=#ff0000">Healthy Brain</font></h1>
<p>What you want to do is get back to having a healthy brain and a healthy mind. The problem is how to do that because you know positive psychology doesn&#8217;t seem to work very well for a lot of people. You can try to be positive all you want but there is a part of your mind where it sometimes seems there is a crazy person in charge.</p>
<p>You see, it doesn&#8217;t matter what you believe consciously if your subconscious mind doesn&#8217;t agree. For the most part your subconscious mind is where all your bad baggage comes from. It&#8217;s still trying to protect you from things you don&#8217;t need protection from and it&#8217;s also very negative and looking for the worst. </p>
<p>Here&#8217;s an example from my life. My mother didn&#8217;t want me, she wanted a girl. I was mentally, physically, emotionally and sexually abused in childhood and a lot of things got put into my mind that are still there in my subconscious. It&#8217;s very hard for me to trust people, it&#8217;s very hard to believe anyone could love me. I also believed that people who had money weren&#8217;t good people but cheating, grasping, greedy people who just cared about money.</p>
<p>Makes perfect sense so my subconscious mind and the idiot running it. If I was so bad my mother didn&#8217;t want me why would anyone else ever want me or love me? So I do stupid, self destructive things in my relationships to test if they really love me. After a few times of doing that they stop loving me. I can&#8217;t blame them for that as I have trust and abandonment issues and it&#8217;s my own fault. I have no problem accepting personal responsibility for my problems and while my parents may have caused the wrong thinking things in my subconscious I don&#8217;t blame them for my choices as I am the one who made the choices to do the things I did. </p>
<p>I am going to prove to you that there is an idiot in charge of your mind, too. What I want you to do is think of something that you did or that happened that made you happy or feel really great the next time you are feeling stressed, depressed or are in a negative mood. I want you to think about that thing for 15 seconds without having any other thoughts in your mind. I want you to relieve how great you felt at that time. I want you to see it in your mind and relive it. I&#8217;ll bet you can&#8217;t do it without having a bad thought intrude. 15 lousy second is all I want you to try for and I&#8217;ll bet you can&#8217;t last 5 seconds.</p>
<p>Isn&#8217;t it interesting that while you are trying to have good thoughts and relive something in your mind that will make you feel great the little idiot who is really running things doesn&#8217;t want you to do that but instead wants you to feel bad like normal so you get bad thoughts coming into your mind. Ask yourself this. Why does your mind want you to feel bad rather than feel good? Why does your mind send thoughts to your conscious mind that you don&#8217;t want to have? Frustrating isn&#8217;t it that you can&#8217;t even relieve a great and happy experience for 15 seconds without having other thoughts that keep making you feel bad.</p>
<h1><font color=#ff0000">Personal Development Plan</font></h1>
<p>What you need is a personal development plan that can and will work for you and get the little idiot in your subconscious to behave and let you choose what thoughts you want to have. While there is no physical labor involved in working the plan it may be one of the harder things you&#8217;ve ever done. You see, you can get control of your mind and your brain and get rid of all the crap that is constant holding you back from having the great life and relationship you deserve.</p>
<p>In another couple of paragraphs I&#8217;m going to give you a link to a page where you can get some real help in changing your life. No, I don&#8217;t get paid for sending you there. It&#8217;s something I found the other day and after I started reading the 5 chapters I was amazed to find out I couldn&#8217;t hold a great thought or feeling for even a few seconds before the crazy person running my mind would send me bad thoughts or negative thoughts. Made me wonder why my mind wanted to feel bad instead of feel good. Could it be that my subconscious mind really believes I deserve to feel bad instead of feeling great and being happy? The answer to that question is yes, it can and does believe that even if it isn&#8217;t true.<br />

One more thing as proof. Have you ever been angry about something that wasn&#8217;t that big a deal yet you escalated it into something huge. Some time during one of those angry moments have you been horrified at what your mouth was saying but you couldn&#8217;t stop it from saying what ever it wanted to say. It&#8217;s like you are watching yourself and wishing you would shut your mouth but for some reason it just keeps going and going and saying hurtful, awful things you know aren&#8217;t true or things that you know are going to cause major problems in your life? Guess who was in charge while that was happening. The idiot in your subconscious mind.</p>

<p>Accepting personal responsibility for what we do and say is very important in keeping ourselves centered and being a great person. However, you do not need to accept any personal responsibility for things that were done to you or said to you as a child. The adults who did those things to you need to accept their responsibility for their actions and the pain, both mental and physical, they caused you to have for most of your life.</p>
<p>Please, for your childrens sake, don&#8217;t call them names, don&#8217;t tell them they are stupid, don&#8217;t hit them and for sure don&#8217;t molest them or let them be molested. We talk so much of stranger danger but the truth is most bad things that happen to kids are done my friends of the family or relatives. Protect your children and treat them the way you wish you&#8217;d been treated when you were a kid. That&#8217;s called accepting personal responsibility.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s a <a target="_blank" href="http://www.brookings.edu/research/articles/2009/07/09-responsibility-haskins" target="_blank">great link for you to check out</a> about accepting personal responsibility if you think I don&#8217;t know what I&#8217;m talking about.</p>
<p>When a child is molested it stays with them all their life. When a child is called names it stays with them all their life. When a child isn&#8217;t treated with love it stays with them all of their life. What you do or allow to happen to a child now, will deeply affect them in the future. It&#8217;s the difference between having a great life and having a crappy life. It&#8217;s your personal responsibility as a parent to do as much as possible to ensure that your children have a great life. Start accepting personal responsibility for raising your child to be a great person, now.</p>
<p>I shouldn&#8217;t have to tell you, because you should remember, things that happened as a child affect your life even 50 years later. No matter how old you are you still remember the bad things that happened to you or were said to you when you were a child. Even though you may think you&#8217;ve forgotten about it it&#8217;s still in your subconscious mind and is causing you to not have the great life you could have.</p>
<p>You may think your conscious mind is in control of you but that&#8217;s not true at all. Your subconscious mind is in control of you and most of your words and actions. I&#8217;m sure you don&#8217;t want that to happen to your children so start accepting personal responsibility for them, treat them well and love them so they will become happy, healthy members of society instead of angry, drunks and drugged out criminals. After all, it is your responsibility so which do you want to raise, a happy child with a great life or a troubled child who is in and out of jail all their life? You can give your child a great life by accepting personal responsibility for you words and actions.</p>
<p>Seems like a simple answer to me so why do so many parents and relatives do and say things to hurt their children? If you have the answer to that question I&#8217;d love to hear your comments about accepting personal responsibility..</p>
