Intuition and Technology

A long time ago, when we still lived in caves and had to hunt for out food, life was very dangerous. We depended a lot more on our intuiton to help keep us safe.

We learned that when something felt wierd or scary, it probably was. We also learned how to tell directions and instinctively know which direction was which.

For out early ancestors the use of intuition was a normal part of everyday life. More than likely they spent more time than we do now days, trying to figure out what was causing them fear.

You see, they had to figure it out so they could recognize it next time or at the very least be more aware of what was happening. Early man may have been a hunter but he was also fairly easy prey for wild predators.

If you wanted to survive you had to use every instinct you had. The fight or flight feeling was a lot more common back then and I suspect there was a lot more flight than thee was fight.

Over the years technology has made out lives much easier. Cell phones tell you who is calling. TV and newspapers tell you dangerous areas to stay out of. A compass came first but now GPS tells you exactly where you are and how to get where you are going.

Everyday new things come along that makes our intuition seem less trustworthy. That’s just plain wrong. Your intuition is always going to be more trustworthy than technology.

Take the lie detector for instance.  Law enforcement thinks it’s a great tool but it’s so inaccurate the results aren’t admissable in court. I would never take a lie detector test just for that reason.

Your intuition will usually tell you when someone is lying to you or something just doesn’t feel right about what they are saying. Learn to trust that feeling and you’ll be right more often than wrong.

Don’t let your trust of technology override your intuitive feelings.
