The Mayan Doomsday in 2012 is getting a lot of attention nowdays, Of course it’s also getting a lot closer to what the Mayan priests predicted. Now whoa up here a minute. They Mayan calendar runnings out is not a prediction. Dec 21, 2012 is the beginning of a new age and the ending of an old one.
Sir Isaac Newton and God both seem to disagree with the Mayans supposed predictions of doomsday. If you are a believer in religion and a God then you have absolutely nothing to fear from the fear mongers who are predicting the end of the world on Dec. 21, 2012.
You have nothing to fear because Isaac Newton, in some very old writings, says God is not going to end the world in 2012 but the end of the world will start in 2060. This is more fitting with what biblical scholars believe than what some say the Mayans have predicted. Certain events have to happen and the Bible spells out how long these events will take. There is no longer enough time for all the things prohesized in the bible to happen before the end of the world. Therefore, true believers have nothing to fear of 2012. Sir Isaac Newton and God have decreed this to be true.
Has it ever occurred to anyone that maybe, just maybe, the Mayans got tired of chiseling messages into rocks. It does take a long time and would be very hard work. Maybe like our yearly calendars ending on December 31 they just had to pick a time to stop. Now my guess is as good as anyone elses because no one was there in the meeting where the Mayan people decided to stop with their future calendar efforts.
Maybe they got so busy fighting they didn’t have time to carve rocks. Maybe they knew their civilization was doomed and stopped wasting time on the future and started paying more attention to the present. Maybe they abandoned their cities for reasons according to their own prophesies. When the cities were abandoned almost all carving stopped. It’s logical to expect the carving of calendars stopped at the same time.
Perhaps with the way things were going for the Maya they simply didn’t have the time nor inclination to continue carving calendars of the future. Having the time to carve rocks was a luxury way back then.
Anyway, Dec 21, 2012, the end of the Mayan calendar and the end of the 2012 prophecy and predictions is when the dark rift in the Milky Way, Earth and the sun are all aligned. This ushers in a new age on the Mayan calendar.
This new age, according to the experts on the Mayan people, is to be an age of enlightenment and an age of learning to use our minds and the powers of our minds. Personally, I expect to wake up on Dec 22, 2012 and not notice that anything has happened to our world.
The extremists say we need to be prepared but the question is, prepared for what? They are predicting the end of the world but IMO there is no way to prepare for the end of the world. Lol, unless you have the money to quit your job right now and do what you always wanted to do for the next 23 months. The truth is no one knows whats going to happen on Dec 21, 2012 anymore than they know whats going to happen tomorrow. Worse yet, they can’t even make a good guess but they sure are predicting doom for the earth, anyway.
Despite the mayan calendar 2012 predictions and prophecy we will all wake up the next morning laughing at the idiots who once again predicted the end of the earth.
