Thinking positive affirmations and the power of positive thinking

Thinking positive is always a good thing and so are positive affirmations. Both have a lot of power and both require that you change the way you think. Then using the power of positive thinking and the power of positive affirmations you will have a better life.

Emile Coue, a 19th century French professor was a pioneer of affirmation techniques. He cured hundreds of people in Europe by teaching his patients to repeat the following affirmation every morning and every night.

“Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better.”

Now you can get software to help you with your affirmations. Yes, it works because it’s on a subliminal level. It just runs on your computer and you probably won’t even notice it’s running but if you try it for 30 days you’ll see a big difference in your life.

Mostly I write my own affirmations as they aren’t that hard to write. There are a few simple rules for writing affirmations.

First and most important is they must be positive. Why would you want to program your subconscious in a negative way. That’s what you’re trying to get away from.

Second they should be short and easy to remember so you can use them throughout the day without having to struggle to remember them.

Third, you have to use them everyday. The more time you use them the better they work.

Affirmations should be personal, positive and the present tense. It’s the present tense that seems to mess up most people when writing positive affirmations.

I’ll share a few of mine with you to give you an idea of some things that work.

I attract money at all times. Rivers of money flow into my life. I am a money magnet. I receive large checks in the mail. I am always in the right place at the right time. I maintain a perfect driving record. I eat healthy at all times.

As you can see, they are all short, simple and to the point. I can remember them and when driving I can run through them in my mind. Say them, repeat them, believe in them and they will work. As I said before most people get hung up on the present tense. It’s very important to have the mindset that you already have what you are affirming.

It should be obvious that I want money, from the affirmations I listed above. However it took me awhile to learn the difference between saying I don’t want to be poor, which doesn’t work as an affirmation, well, it does but not the way you want it to, and saying I attract money at all times.

I don’t want to be poor is a negative and saying things in a negative way isn’t what you want to do as it attracts negative things into your life. I also don’t want to get any speeding tickets or any other kind of moving violation. Saying, I don’t want to get speeding tickets doesn’t work as it’s a negative. I maintain a perfect driving record does work.

Basically it’s simple. For affirmations to work they need to be positive, they need to be now and don’t say what you don’t want as that’s negative. Say what you do want as if you already have it.

If you need help in writing affirmations all you have to do is make a post stating what kind of affirmation you want and I’ll help you write it or a couple for you to choose from. Just tell me what you don’t want and I’ll help you turn your negatives into positives.

You see, the power of positive thinking does work and the power of positive affirmations and thinking positive affirmations does work. Give positive affirmations a try for yourself and see what happens.
